There aren’t many better matchups around the NFL than what’s set to take place on Monday Night Football to conclude Week 5. Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills (3-1) are out West to take on 2025 NFL MVP Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams (2-2) in an early-season showdown between Super Bowl hopefuls.

Speaking of Super Bowl odds, the Bills are currently tied with Baltimore and San Francisco for the second-shortest odds to win it all this season at +800, while the Rams are the betting favorites to win the Lombardi Trophy at +650.

The Rams have already suffered two tough losses this season, including an ugly 27-7 defeat to San Francisco in Week 1 in Australia. If it weren’t for a late fourth-quarter comeback against Philadelphia last week, Los Angeles would be 1-3 entering Monday Night Football against Buffalo. However, that isn’t the case, and a gritty win like the one in Week 4 could be exactly what the Rams needed to settle in and play like the dominant team many believed they would be entering the 2026-27 season.

The Bills also have sky-high expectations, having been one of the perennial contenders in the AFC since Allen took over at quarterback, but they’re still trying to get over the hump and win the elusive first Super Bowl in franchise history. Buffalo got off to a great start this season with a 3-0 record but suffered a tough home loss to AFC East rival New England in Week 4, so it will be important to see how the Bills respond against an uber-talented Rams team Monday night.

Our Bills vs. Rams best player prop bets and predictions for Monday Night Football are featured below.

Matthew Stafford Over 283.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Matthew Stafford enters Monday night with the 12th-most passing yards in the NFL this season, but with this being the final game of Week 5 and all other quarterbacks who didn’t have a bye week having already played besides him and Josh Allen, Stafford could easily find himself among the league leaders in passing yards by the end of the night. In fact, he’s just 296 passing yards behind league leader Jared Goff.

Stafford led the NFL in passing yards in 2025 en route to his MVP-winning season and has consistently been among the league leaders throughout his career when he’s played a full, healthy season. The same has been true through the first four weeks of 2026, and the Stats Hub notes that Stafford has recorded 317 or more passing yards in each of the Rams’ last three games.

Stafford and the Rams’ elite offense are set to face a struggling Buffalo defense on Monday Night Football that is currently allowing the third-most net passing yards per game in the NFL.

  • Matthew Stafford Over 283.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Puka Nacua Anytime Touchdown (-125)

The Bills’ defense has not been all that great so far this season. Buffalo has particularly struggled against the pass, especially against elite, bona fide No. 1 wide receivers. Not only are the Bills going up against one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL on Monday night, but they’re also set to face one of the league’s most prolific passing attacks.

We already talked about Stafford, and now it’s time to highlight one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, Puka Nacua. Nacua led the NFL in receptions, receiving first downs, and receiving yards per game in 2025 en route to Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro honors, while finishing second in the league in receiving yards and tied for the third-most receiving touchdowns.

After missing Weeks 2 and 3 this season due to hip and groin injuries, Nacua returned in Week 4 against Philadelphia and made an immediate impact with nine catches for 125 yards on 12 targets while also rushing for a touchdown. He’s now set to face a Buffalo defense that allowed Houston’s No. 1 receiver Nico Collins to catch seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 and Detroit’s No. 1 wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown to haul in nine catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2. The Bills have allowed 10 receiving touchdowns in total this season, including three in Week 4 against New England.

The Stats Hub notes that Nacua has scored at least one touchdown in four of his last five regular season appearances. Nacua is also featured as one of our three best NFL touchdown bets for Monday Night Football

  • Puka Nacua Anytime Touchdown (-125)

Josh Allen Over 32.5 Pass Attempts (-120)

Like the Rams, the Bills also feature a dangerous, high-scoring offense, but the difference is that Buffalo’s defense hasn’t been quite as good as Los Angeles’. That means Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense must be prepared to go toe-to-toe with Matthew Stafford and the Rams’ offense in what could very well turn into an offensive shootout on Monday Night Football.

Allen and the Bills have already found themselves in a few high-scoring games through the first four weeks of the season. While he has yet to record 34 or more pass attempts in any of those games, the Stats Hub notes that he has reached that mark in each of Buffalo’s last six games as underdogs against NFC opponents. He attempted 29 passes in Week 1, 31 in Week 2, 26 in Week 3, and 33 in Week 4.

It is, however, worth mentioning what happened the last time the Bills and Rams met. It was a Week 14 matchup during the 2024 season at SoFi Stadium that resulted in an offensive shootout, with Los Angeles coming out on top in a 44-42 win. The loss wasn’t Allen’s fault, though, as he completed 22 of 37 passes for 342 yards and accounted for six total touchdowns, three passing and three rushing.

Monday night’s Week 5 matchup feels like another game in which Allen may need a performance similar to the one he put together a few years ago against the Rams.

  • Josh Allen Over 32.5 Pass Attempts (-120)
